Peer Review Process
JOS follows a double-blind peer-review process: initial editorial screening, similarity check, assignment to expert reviewers, reviewer feedback, author revision, editorial decision, copyediting, and online publication.
Publication Ethics & Plagiarism Policy
Authors must ensure their manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration elsewhere. The journal enforces a strict plagiarism policy, with a maximum permissible similarity index of 10% (no more than 3% from any single source). The journal follows internationally recognized publication ethics principles, including those recommended by the ICMJE.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy
AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) cannot be listed as authors. Authors may use AI only to improve language or readability, and any substantial AI-assisted writing, analysis, or image generation must be disclosed in the manuscript. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the submitted work.
Publication Charges
- Article Processing Charge (APC): ₹4,500 for Indian authors; 50 USD for authors outside India
- Submission Fee: ₹518
- Additional Charges: Nil
