Journal of Sciences (JOS) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any publication malpractice. The journal follows internationally recognized publication ethics principles, including those recommended by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).

Authorship

All listed authors must have made a significant contribution to the research and manuscript, and must have approved the final version submitted for publication. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all persons who made substantial contributions are appropriately acknowledged, and that no one who meets authorship criteria is omitted. Any change to the author list after submission must be approved by all authors and communicated to the editor with justification.

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must ensure that submitted work is entirely original. Where the work or words of others have been used, this must be appropriately cited. The journal enforces a strict plagiarism policy: the overall similarity index must not exceed 10%, and similarity from any single source should preferably not exceed 3%. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabricated data, or image manipulation will be rejected, and confirmed cases may result in further action, including notifying the authors' institution.

Data Integrity

Authors must present an accurate account of the research performed, along with an objective discussion of its significance. Underlying data should be represented accurately in the manuscript. Fabrication, falsification, or selective/misleading reporting of data constitutes a serious ethical violation and will result in rejection or retraction.

Originality, Prior Publication, and Concurrent Submission

Manuscripts must not have been published previously and must not be under consideration by another journal at the time of submission. Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously is considered a serious breach of publication ethics.

Human and Animal Research

Studies involving human participants or animals must have received prior approval from an appropriate Institutional Ethics Committee or equivalent body. Written informed consent must be obtained from human participants where applicable, and this should be clearly stated in the manuscript.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationships that could be perceived as influencing the research or its interpretation. Authors are required to include a Conflict of Interest declaration on the title page of their manuscript.

Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude) cannot be listed as authors on any manuscript. Authors may use AI tools only to improve language and readability, and any substantial use of AI in writing, data analysis, or image generation must be disclosed in the manuscript. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the submitted work, regardless of any AI assistance used.

Peer Review Integrity

JOS follows a double-blind peer-review process to ensure fair and unbiased evaluation of submitted manuscripts. Reviewers are expected to treat manuscripts as confidential documents, disclose any conflicts of interest, and provide objective, evidence-based evaluations. Reviewers must not use knowledge of unpublished work for personal advantage.

Corrections and Retractions

If significant errors are identified in a published article, the journal will issue a correction. In cases of confirmed research or publication misconduct, plagiarism, or falsified data, the journal reserves the right to retract the article in accordance with standard academic publishing practice.
